On the 17th and the 18th of January it was time for the guideclass to do some ice climbing. The teachers had the knowledge, the school had the equipment, the students had the interest and the ice was to be found in Trängslet. The class was devided in to three groups depending on how fast you wanted to go forward. The sun shined both days but unfortenatly not on all the groups. The temperature was somewhere around -5°C and maybe even a little warmer the first day. Trängslet is located just about 30 minutes from Älvdalen and offers varios ices, at least for beginners. Most of the students tought it was two lovely days, and one or two more
would not have been wrong.
